These flexible hydroponic growing "pods" are popular. The unique square design enables you to pack many WaterFarms together with close spacing for large installations.
The WaterFarm will grow small, medium, and large plants up to tomato, cucumber and pepper size. A Controller System is available allowing many WaterFarms to be interconnected allowing expandability that emulates commercial setups.
Plants are grown within a chamber filled with Grorox hydroponic medium. The growing chamber is suspended above a reservoir filled with nutrient-enriched water. An air-pump drives the nutrient solution up through the "pumping column" where the nutrient then drips down through the Grorox. This infuses the nutrient solution with oxygen and constantly bathes the roots, stimulating the plant to grow - grow like you've never seen before!
The optional Controller Systems are very simple - a container with a float valve is connected to the line of units. A master reservoir filled with fresh water and mild nutrient is located on top of the float valve actuated Controller. As the plants draw water from their individual reservoirs, the liquid levels drop causing the float valve in the Controller to open and draw fresh nutrient from the master reservoir. This automatically maintains the ideal nutrient level in all the interconnects units, simple, elegant, reliable and inexpensive.
Individual WaterFarms include: 4 gallon reservoir, 2 gallon growing chamber, pumping column, column support tube, drip ring, 1/2 inch grommet, drain level tube, Elite 800 air pump, 9 liters of Hydroton growing medium and the 3 part Flora series.
The WaterFarm 8-Pack Kit is eight individual WaterFarm module units connected to one General Hydroponics Controller: an integrated 13 gallon reservoir and the Standard 8 gallon Controller Module. The Controller will keep each unit topped off with the correct level of nutrient for low maintenance.
The WaterFarm 8-Pack Kit comes with the powerful new General Hydroponics Dual Diaphragm Air Pump, and includes all the necessary hardware, supplies and General Hydrponics Flora series nutrients. The grower can move the WaterFarms in a design that is suitable for any environment. Pack them tight or space them out for your growing situation. The 8-pack is the system for larger growers. The 8-Pack does NOT include fired clay pebbles.
